- Born and raised in Ottawa, 29-year-old Adrian Blackburn has been playing drums for 19 years and performing/teaching for 13 years. He is a graduate of the Brighton Institute of Modern Music, a drumming performance college in the UK, and he is a former Highschool music teacher having worked overseas in Thailand for 3 years. He is also the drummer for The Bigmuffs, a popular local Ottawa rock band. Adrian’s drumming style is a mix of Heavy Metal, Hip Hop and Punk Rock influences, although he enjoys all drumming styles. Above all, Adrian has found his calling in teaching which is something he truly enjoys. Developing healthy relationships with students in which they are supported to reach all of their goals and enjoy their study is among the top of his most rewarding accolades in drumming.
